Half Veela

. . . .

A half Veela is a cross breed between a human (typically a wizard/witch) and a Veela. It's unknown if Veela's could breed with muggles or squibs and it's unlikely that a muggle would even learn of their existence. Which then would cause most of not all half Veelas inheriting magical abilities from their human parents because they were likely a wizard.

From their Veela parents or ancestors they would gain some of their traits such as breath taking beauty and thus having the ability to entrance all men. For the purpose of our server we are saying that they have a very high charismatic advantage.

Due to it being unknown for the purpose of the server half-Veela will not be able to shape-shift into bird like creatures or throw fireballs as a full Veela can.

A Dhampir is the resulting offspring from a human and a vampire. Dhampirs are considered a type of Half-Breed. If they are equal parts wizard and vampire, they fall under wizarding regulations more so than 'Magical Being' or 'Half-Breed' regulations. However, if their vampire blood outweighs blood from other species, in some countries (Korea, India, Peru, Paraguay, Venezuela, Chile, Bolivia, Cuba, France, Belgium, Latvia, Belarus, Moldova, Algeria, South Africa, Pakistan and Germany) they are legally dictated under 'Magical Being' laws, and therefore are considered a type of Magical Creature classified under Being. This is generally considered controversial, most countries having changed laws to allow anyone with strong wizarding blood to fall under wizarding laws. In these countries where Being laws apply, it is extremely hard for part humans to get jobs, receive proper education, proper medical care or recieve any sort of justice or aiding legal action. Beings may not marry or procreate with non-beings in such countries.

werewolf

. . . .

A werewolf also known as a lycanthrope was a creature who would normally resemble a human being but upon the complete rise of the full moon become an uncontrollable, fearsome and deadly wolf. This condition was caused by an infection with lycanthropy which again is known as werewolf. Werewolves were almost indistinguishable in appearance from the true wolf and that difference was in it's behavior.
A mixture of powdered silver and dittany applied to a fresh werewolf bite would seal the wound and allow the victim to live on as a werewolf, although tragic tales were told of bite victims begging for death rather than becoming werewolves. The Wolfsbane Potion, invented by Damocles Belby, allowed werewolf drinkers to keep their human mind during transformation.

A werewolf couldn't choose whether or not to transform and would no longer remember who they were once transformed and were very aggressive. Multiple werewolves were known to kill their best friends or loved ones while in wolf form if they were given the chance. Despite this, they were able to recall everything they had experienced throughout their transformation upon reverting to their human form.

seer

. . . .

A Seer is a gifted wizard or witch who has the ability to see into the future with their Inner Eye. Seers predict prophecies, most of which are then recorded and stored in the Hall of Prophecy in the Ministry of Magic's Department of Mysteries. True Seers are extremely rare, with many “false” prophets claiming that they have the power of Divination and are true Seers.

There is always doubt around prophecies, and predicting the future is incredibly difficult because of the complexity of every single action and their consequences, with the smallest change disrupting and changing the course of the prophecy.

Centaurs are thought to be Seers, despite not being human wizards, as they have their own brand of divination but can take several years to interpret what they see in the skies.

The history following Seers is not one of celebration, but generally fear and persecution follows them beyond the Muggle world and into that of the Magical world. There are many skeptics that doubt the legitimacy of the rare gift.

legilimens

. . . .

Legilimency is the act of magically navigating through the many layers of a person's mind and correctly interpreting one's findings. A person who practiced this art was known as a Legilimens. Muggles may have called this "mind-reading", but practitioners disdained the term as naive. The opposite of Legilimency is Occlumency, which was used to shield one's mind from the invasion and influence of Legilimens.

Some magical creatures, such as Wampus cats, could also perform Legilimency. Silver lime wands had a reputation for performing best for those skilled in Legilimency and / or Seers.

Legilimency is a difficult skill to master and requires many years of practice. It is a branch of magic not normally taught at Hogwarts (at least, not at Ordinary Wizarding Level) with those finding the practice of Legilimency complex, while others find it dark and invasive given the access to another's mind.

It is unknown who invented the art of Legilimency and just when it was invented. The art has been around for many centuries, as Salazar Slytherin, a very skilled Legillimens, lived in the 10th century, and, along with the other Hogwarts founders, enchanted the Sorting Hat to have the skill.

OCCLUMENS

. . . .

Occlumency is the magic of closing one's mind against Legilimency. An ancient magic, and it has existed since medieval times. It is practiced to prevent Legilimens from accessing one's thoughts and feelings, or influencing them. A wizard or witch who is practiced in this art is known as an Occlumens

There are different forms, with the most basic form of Occlumency involving clearing one's mind — making it "blank and empty" — in order to prevent a Legilimens from perceiving one's emotions and thoughts. More advanced Occlumency involves suppressing only the thoughts, emotions, and memories that can contradict whatever it was an Occlumens wished a Legilimens to believe.

This more in-depth practice produces a "faux" layer of mentality that can throw off the perspective of one who uses Legilimency into thinking that the said layer being the legitimate one whilst its bona fide counterpart lay deeper within. Hence, it was not obvious that Occlumency was being used even if the person was lying. It requires a great deal of willpower, similar to resisting the Imperius Curse. It is also one method of resisting the influence of Veritaserum.

MALEDICTUS

Their cursed Animal must match their Patronus

A Maledictus is a female individual who inherits and carries a rare and dangerous type of a blood curse that eventually will turn her into a type of beast permanently. The curse is carried from birth, and is passed down from mother to daughter in the female line of the original victim's bloodline of descendants.

The Maledictus curse is not to be confused with the acquired ability of Animagus, and the condition of lycanthropy. Maledictuses are considered Underbeings in the wizarding world, with many who carry the curse keeping it secret to avoid alienation.

Maledictuses are not in any way destined to become evil as a result of their condition, despite their beast sides often being aggressive. In addition to it, the curse varies between each afflicted female individual; the type of beast the Maledictus eventually transforms into depends on the individual curse.

Before their permanent transformation, they possess the ability to change shape at will, which gradually becomes increasingly uncontrollable, and more involuntarily recurring as the curse progresses, resulting in their fate at some point during their lifetime.

ANIMAGUS

. . . .

An Animagus is a witch or wizard who could transform themselves into an animal and back again at will. It is a learned skill, unlike the hereditary skill of a metamorphmagus. Information on Animagi is taught to Hogwarts students during their third-year Transfiguration class. An Animagus Registry existed to keep track of those that had learned to transform in this way.

DEATH
EATER

Pureblood or Halfblood only

The Death Eaters were the most ardent followers of Lord Voldemont. The group primarily consisted of wizards and witches who were radical pure blood supremacists who practiced the Dark Arts with reckless abandon, malevolence and without regards to or fear of wizarding law. Although some of them joined him out of fear or were blackmailed to do so. Lord Voldemort used this select group of wizards and witches during both wizarding wars, employing them as his elite force. They often wore black hoods and masks with snake-like eye slits to cover their faces.
The Death Eaters were considered Lord Voldemort's inner circle and had the dark mark burned into their left forearms. When Voldemort touched a dark mark, each of the death eaters felt it and with that signaling for them to apparated to their leader's side. Death Eaters could also summon Voldemort with their marks.
